    Join Attorney Amy Wilson with Frost Brown Todd and Territory Manager Ann Milborn Getz with APS Human Capital Management as they discuss the importance of conducting HR compliance audits as a proactive measure to ensure employment practices are adequate, legal and effective.

    The presentation will cover best practices when conducting some of the most common types of employer-initiated compliance audits—including hiring, onboarding, policies, training, wage and hour, benefits, employee relations, safety and security, EEO, employee separation, and recordkeeping. Attendees will also learn the benefits of using technology to assist both in conducting an audit and in implementing the action steps required as a result of the audit’s findings.

    Learning Objectives

    • Identify the human resources policies, procedures, documentation and systems in need of a compliance audit in order to improve the HR function and to ensure compliance with ever changing laws.
    • Learn best practices in conducting an audit, including identifying the scope, collecting data, analyzing findings, providing feedback, and creating action plans.  
    • Learn the benefits of utilizing technology to assist in conducting audits and in implementing action steps required as a result of the audit’s findings.
